Bizarre blue-tinted surveillance footage has showed a woman stalking the aisles of grocery store before allegedly mugging an elderly woman by punching her in the face.
Police are hoping someone will recognize the suspect, despite the distracting hue. The attack happened April 7 in Oklahoma City, right outside the store.
They claimed it was unprovoked, and that the suspect - sporting purple hair and a complexion similar to that of a Smurf in the footage due to the camera inaccuracy - was aggressive from the start.
She is seen seconds before suddenly yelling at the victim 'What are you looking at!', as she was reportedly standing in an aisle looking at bread.
After being hit and having her belongings stolen, the victim told a clerk she believed her attacker had been trying to steal something. The suspect went on follow the victim outside, cops said, punching her in the face and knocking her into a truck.

'She's fine - she was not seriously injured,' said Gary Knight of the OKC Police Department in a filmed statement Monday of the unnamed victim, as officers continued to search for the suspect.
'But it was a very upsetting thing to have happened - somebody demanding your items, and you get punched to the face like that, knocked to the ground, and to have somebody walk up and steal your stuff and drive off.'
Touting the footage from the local Baum's as the key to a quick arrest, he said the cerulean-shaded suspect is 'someone we want to get identified, [to] get them off the streets.'
Police, meanwhile, feel they have a good chance of doing just that - due to the quality of the now circulating surveillance video.
It was taken just second before the incident, investigators said - and shows the woman strolling the store's halls while her victim remains off-screen.
At some point, the encounter described occurred - after which the woman was allegedly followed her outside.
The suspect then demanded the woman's wallet before leaving with a man in a black Kia K-5, cops said.

Cops added the suspect cursed at the victim before following her outside the store where the encounter became physical.
She went on to ask for the money before punching her in the face, leaving the victim on the floor as she and the male getaway driver drove off.
As mentioned, the woman was all right, but both her alleged attacker and her accomplice remain at large.
Anyone with information on the incident - or is able to recognize the blue-tinged suspect - has been urged to call the department's Crime Stoppers line.
